ThyWord is part of Aide, and I, King’ori Maina, run it. I am responsible for the information described here.

There are no reader accounts, so you can read and search without signing in or giving your name. ThyWord does not use analytics, advertising or third-party tracking.

What you search for is sent to the server to find matching verses and appears in the page’s address, so a search can be shared. ThyWord doesn’t save your searches.

Like most websites, ThyWord receives basic information with each visit, such as your IP address, your browser and the page you asked for. It is used only to deliver pages, protect the site from abuse and fix faults.

ThyWord sets one strictly necessary cookie, which keeps its pages and forms secure. It also remembers a light or dark display setting on your device, in a cookie and in your browser’s storage. Neither is used for advertising or to follow you to other sites.

Cloudflare, which delivers the site, may set its own strictly necessary cookies to protect it from bots and abuse.

ThyWord runs on a hosting provider’s servers and reaches you through Cloudflare, which protects and speeds up the site. They handle information only to provide those services, and may do so in countries other than yours. I don’t sell or share information with anyone else, except where the law requires it.

Because ThyWord doesn’t know who you are, there is usually nothing about you to access or delete. You can clear its cookies and storage in your browser at any time.

You can write to me with any privacy request or question, and you may also complain to the data-protection authority where you live.

If ThyWord starts collecting more, such as with analytics or reader accounts, I will update this policy before it does, publish it here and change the effective date.
