In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.

Creation
God speaks and the world comes to be. He makes people in His image, to live in relationship with Him and care for His creation. Everything He has made is very good.
Genesis 1–2

Fall
Adam and Eve disobey God, and sin and death enter human life. Violence spreads through their descendants, and at Babel humanity is scattered. Yet God does not abandon the world He has made.
Genesis 3–11

Promise
God calls Abraham and promises to bless all families of the earth through him. Through Abraham, Isaac, Jacob and Joseph, God preserves this family and His promise, despite their failures.
Genesis 12–50

Rescue
God hears His people’s cry and brings them out of slavery in Egypt. At Sinai He makes a covenant with them, gives them His law and comes to dwell among them as they journey towards the promised land.
Exodus to Deuteronomy

Kingdom
Israel settles in the promised land, repeatedly turns away from God and eventually asks for a king. God raises up David and promises that his house and kingdom will endure for ever.
Joshua to 2 Chronicles
Start with Joshua 24, 1 Samuel 8, 2 Samuel 7

Exile and return
Israel and Judah turn from God despite the prophets’ warnings, and their kingdoms fall. God brings a remnant home to rebuild, while His promises of a new covenant and a coming King hold out hope beyond the return.

Jesus
Jesus announces God’s kingdom and fulfils His promises. He teaches, heals and gives His life for our sins. On the third day He rises, opening the way to forgiveness and reconciliation with God.

The church
The risen Jesus sends the Holy Spirit, and His followers carry the good news from Jerusalem to the nations. Jews and Gentiles are brought together in Christ, learning to live as God’s people and share His love.
Acts to Jude

New creation
God makes all things new: a new heaven and a new earth, where He dwells with His people. Death, mourning and pain are gone, the curse is lifted and His people live in His presence for ever.
Revelation
Start with Revelation 21, Revelation 22
20He who testifies to these things says, ‘Yes, I am coming soon.’ Amen. Come, Lord Jesus! 21The grace of the Lord Jesus be with all the saints. Amen.
